EFS-plastics is based in Listowel, Ontario, with offices in Lethbridge, Alberta and Hazleton, PA, USA.  | This is a hybrid or remote position.

Job Type - Full Time

The Position:

We’re looking for a Purchaser of Recyclable Material & Supplies to manage purchasing of both raw material and building relationships with suppliers. The majority of the Manager’s time will be spent securing post-consumer plastic produced at Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) across North America. This position requires travelling in the US and Canada. We are looking for a creative, honest, environmentally-focused professional to expand and improve our feedstock supply.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong and transparent relationship with our existing suppliers;

  • Provide weekly updates and develop monthly strategic sourcing plan with supervisor;

  • Issue purchase orders and coordinate with Logistics Coordinator on scheduling;

  • Secure new suppliers of raw material

  • Communicate regularly with internal staff to evaluate quality of supply;

  • Work with suppliers to improve MRF operations to enhance quality or increase volume through frequent phone calls and occasional site visits;

  • Maintain inventory of process supplies and place orders when necessary; and

  • Reduce costs of process supplies through negotiation and diverse sourcing.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the recycling industry;

  • Passionate about the waste industry and environment;

  • Familiarity with operation of MRFs;

  • Exposure to post-consumer plastic commodities and markets;

  • Experience in negotiating pricing;

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work independently;

  • Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills;

  • Comfort using Excel and managing a pricing database; and

  • Integrity, confidentiality and professionalism

The Position:

We’re looking to fill positions for Machine Operators at our plastic recycling facility in Listowel, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor fully automated production system

  • Work closely with shift supervisor to fulfill customer orders

  • Safely Operate forklift

  • Keeps work area clean and organized

  • Maintain positive work environment by motivating co-workers

  • Prepare production to hand off seamlessly to other shifts

  • Support the Operations Supervisor managing the production daily.

EXI-plast Custom Moulding Ltd. | Centralia Ontario

Job Type - Full Time

The Position:

We are looking to fill positions for Machine Operators at our plastic blow molding facility in Centralia, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor automated production system

  • Perform post-production processes (trimming, packing, assembly, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and work to achieve efficiencies daily

  • Monitor quality of finished product using the tools and training provided

  • Work closely with Shift Lead to fulfill customer orders

  • Work in a safe manner at all times and maintain a safe work area

  • Keeps work area clean and organized

  • Maintain positive work environment by motivating co-workers

  • Prepare production to hand off seamlessly to other shifts

Job Type - Full Time

The Position:

EFS-plastics Inc. is a successful, growing recycling company that recovers plastic from residential recycling programs. Your detergent bottles, milk jugs and plastic bags all end up at EFS, where we turn them into plastic resin pellets that can be used to make new products.
