The Position:
We’re looking for a Purchaser of Recyclable Material & Supplies to manage purchasing of both raw material and building relationships with suppliers. The majority of the Manager’s time will be spent securing post-consumer plastic produced at Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) across North America. This position requires travelling in the US and Canada. We are looking for a creative, honest, environmentally-focused professional to expand and improve our feedstock supply.·

Vacancies: 4
Compensation: Starting rate of $21.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
Benefits: RRSP match and group health benefits including dental care, disability insurance, extended healthcare, life insurance, and vision care.
Shifts: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with weekend shifts as needed. Shifts may be scheduled mornings, days, or nights
Language of work: English
Anticipated start date: as soon as possible
Location of work: in person at 69323 Richmond Street, Centralia, ON N0M 1K0
Responsibilities:
Monitor automated production system and assemble plastic components according to specifications.
Troubleshoot machine alarms and work to achieve efficiencies daily.
Perform post-production processes to meet quality standards including trimming, polishing, and buffing.
Inspect plastic parts and finished products for quality, identifying and reporting any defects.
Collect data and maintain production records.
Work closely with team to fulfill customer orders.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Work Setting and Conditions:
Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Standing for long periods, bending, crouching, and handling materials.
Safety equipment and training provided.
Qualifications:
Completion of secondary school education
At least one (1) to six (6) months of previous production experience required.
Previous machine operator experience preferred.
Experience in blow and injection moulding is considered an asset.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended period, and handle light to moderate lifting between 20 – 30 pounds.
Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task daily.
Ability to solve problems with strong attention to detail for data collection.
Ability to attend work on time each scheduled shift.
